After an overnight journey from Delhi, we reached Haridwar early morning. From there, we took a shared jeep to Barkot which is the last town in Uttarakhand before the Yamunotri region. The drive from Haridwar to Barkot was very scenic as we drove through forests and small towns. We reached Barkot by afternoon and checked into our hotel.The next morning, we started our journey to Yamunotri. We took a shared jeep to Janki Chatti which is the starting point of the trek to Yamunotri. The trek was about 5 km and it took us around 3 hours to reach Yamunotri. The views on the trek were amazing and we even saw some snowfall on the way.

First Devotees spent some time at the temple then started our journey back to Janki Chatti. We reached Janki Chatti by evening and stayed there for the night. The next morning, we started our journey back to Delhi and reached home by evening.There are many things to do in Yamunotri.
